How to read literature like a professor (3)

As I've been reading How to read literature like a professor, They always talk about differently allusions and how most connect to Christianity. It's nice learning that the things I learn at church or bible studies are connected to literature because a lot of the writers not necessarily religious but have their traditions and put it into their writing. Most times in literature, as the book mentions, a character that is suffering or is very forgiving or came to an unworthy world alludes to the character of Jesus Christ. That really fascinates me because I don't see that in writing, unless someone points it out, but now it makes me open my eyes to what I'm really reading.
